Violet is a lace bralette pattern designed to be more than just lingerie. With an extended band and wide fabric straps, it can be worn as a bralette or styled as outerwear, offering versatile outfit combinations.
 
Designed without underwire, Violet provides light support while maintaining comfort. It features a slip-on style, with elastic applied at the underbust.
 
The bralette is made with stretch lace and mesh. The mesh appears as a sheer detail at the neckline, and the back can be made entirely of lace or lined with mesh for additional support. The back features a V-shaped opening and is finished with the scalloped edge of the lace. The front neckline and armholes are finished with fold-over elastic, providing a clean finish. The cups are shaped with a vertical seam placed slightly beside the apex for improved comfort.
 
 
The pattern includes two band height options: a slightly shorter version, recommended for a shorter torso or a more bralette-style look, and a longer version, recommended for a longer torso or for a more crop top appearance.
 
The pattern includes three cup construction variations. These options do not change the overall design of the bralette, but only affect the level of transparency and internal construction of the cups.
The main variation (variation A) uses mesh as the cup lining, creating a sheer effect. Variation B keeps mesh only at the neckline and uses a non-sheer lining at the cups for coverage. Variation C maintains the mesh lining and adds an additional fabric layer with a cup pocket for inserting removable cups.

To make this bralette, you will need a sewing machine with zigzag stitches. While a serger for overlock stitches and a coverstitch machine for FOE can be helpful, they are not mandatory; a domestic sewing machine with zigzag stitches will work perfectly. 
This project is suitable for confident beginners, familiar with fold-over elastic application and working with stretch fabrics.
 
 
This is a simple pattern that uses only a small variety of materials. For this project, you will need stretch lace with scalloped edges, stretch mesh, band elastic, and fold-over elastic. Some variations also require stretch fabric for lining the cup.
